This MTA Commuter is a web developer working in Manhattan. Each day, she commutes on the LIRR to Penn Station and then on the subway. This blog is a collection of stories, feelings, and reactions to happenings on the MTA.

Over the years, she has commuted several times into Manhattan for a few months at a time for various contract positions and short term jobs. Her current term has gone for over a year, and she’s collected a lot of stories that she’s shared with friends and family. Through their encouragement, she has decided to share them with the world here on this website.

She hopes everyone reads these stories with good humor and a grain of salt. Recent troubles with the transit system and other situations are not always something to be made light of, but sometimes you have to laugh to make it through the day without losing your cool.
